Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.

It’s another long weekend in Hong Kong, and Paul and Carolyn return with the finest new music to soundtrack the holiday and perhaps even Mother’s Day. There’s a whole host of eagerly awaited new albums out and vying for the album of the week title, including LPs from Warpaint, Belle and Sebastian, !!!, Arcade Fire, and Sharon Van Etten as well as the best of the week’s new singles. There’s also another retro album of the week which is one of Paul’s favourite albums of all time plus Carolyn chooses a record from a band who never made it as big as they deserved to.
Aurora Theatre will be in the studio speaking about their new production of Dario Fo's The Open Couple, plus there'll be a report from the Pop Fugitives’ big theme park misadventure. That's all accompanied by some holiday chat and of course a new (and more sensible) Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz plus biscuit review. Tune in from 9am to 1pm.
