    HIGHLIGHTS

On the Sunday Escape this week Paul and Carolyn play all the best music including new tracks from dodie and Biig Piig plus albums from Gorillaz, Bruce Springsteen and Palace Winter and many more. Along with all the new music there’ll be plenty of old tracks that Paul and Carolyn have been checking out all week, as always.

Saturday was the third Record Store Day of the year, with the previous ones being in September and October. The Pop Fugitives ask whether three record store days is too many and look at some of the releases. That said, every day is record store day for Paul and Carolyn.

On top of all that there will of course be all the usual features. That means album of the week, a tribute to Spencer Davis, a new extended play, and of course biscuits! Tune in on Sunday from 9am to 1pm.

Sunday 25 October, Kevin Lewis returns to the usual "Sunday Late" show from 10 pm here on RTHK Radio 3. As usual its all about new music, with a whole host of stylish new albums to catch up on. Artistes such as John Legend, Shaun Escoffery, Norah Jones, Toni Braxton, Jessie Ware, Kem and Gregory Porter, all with new albums out, tell the story of Sunday night music on Radio 3. And don't miss one of the albums we have really been looking forward to - the 7th release from Alicia Keys, "Alicia" - launched four weeks ago and will be featured on the show. Sunday Late from 10pm on RTHK Radio 3.

This week's Letter to Hong Kong comes from Doctor Arisina Ma, President of the Hong Kong Public Doctors' Association. (Sundays, 8:15am-8:25 am)

With entries being invited for Hong Kong's Top Story 2020, you can hear another of the winning pieces from last year. This evening, the story title is "Edges", by Marcus Leung-Shea, who was the third-prize winner in the adult category. It’s read by Atom Cheung.

On Tuesday's Backchat, Covid-19 and availability of flu jabs.

The government recently said it was looking at expanding the scope of mandatory coronavirus testing and suggested that those who refused to be tested could face penalties.
Critics say such a move would lead to resistance from the public and damage the trust between the doctors and patients.

Separately, as the flu season approaches, what if the winter surge coincides with another wave of coronavirus infections? Could our medical system handle the situation? Are there enough flu shots?

From 9:00am-9:30am, we'll discuss the continued closure of gazetted beaches, and when the further relaxation of distancing measures will mean that they can reopen.
