Renowned French pianist François-Frédéric Guy performs and conducts all five Beethoven piano concertos in two concerts. Deeply connected to the piano, Beethoven expressed his most profound emotions through this instrument. The five concertos trace his musical journey, from the youthful spirit of the First to the majestic grandeur of the Emperor. Each is a masterpiece that has captivated audiences for over two centuries. Guy performs the Second, Third, and Fourth concertos on 11/9, and the First and Fifth on 18/9.
法國鋼琴家紀弗朗將於兩場音樂會中「自彈自指」貝多芬鋼琴協奏曲全集。鋼琴是貝多芬生命不可或缺的一部分，他透過此樂器抒發最深沉的情感。這五首協奏曲記錄了他的音樂歷程，從《第一鋼琴協奏曲》的青春盎然，到《皇帝協奏曲》的雄渾壯麗，無一不是兩百年來風靡無數聽眾的傑作。紀弗朗將於9月11日的節目中演奏第二、第三及第四協奏曲，並於9月18日節目裡呈獻第一及第五協奏曲。

On 31 May 1901, several star artists of the turn of the century joined forces in Wigmore Hall’s first ever performance. This special programme replicates elements from Wigmore Hall’s inaugural concert with a roster of today’s leading musicians – a Gala Concert with composer/pianist Thomas Adès – whose new arrangement of Vesper (for Henry Purcell) commissioned by Wigmore Hall receives its world premiere. Violinist Alina Ibragimova, pianist Cédric Tiberghien, soprano Louise Alder and pianist Joseph Middleton also contribute to the celebration.
1901年5月31日，多位享譽一時的音樂名家雲集威格摩音樂廳，攜手呈獻開幕音樂會，揭開這座世界知名室樂殿堂的輝煌歷史。為慶祝創館125周年，音樂廳特別策劃誌慶音樂會，重現當年開幕演出的部分節目，並邀請當今樂壇多位傑出演奏家同台獻藝，當中包括作曲家兼鋼琴家阿迪斯——由威格摩爾音樂廳委約阿迪斯創作的《晚禱（致浦賽爾）》，亦於當晚作世界首演。小提琴家伊貝拉紀莫娃、鋼琴家堤伯基恩 、女高音亞爾德，以及鋼琴家美道頓亦將攜手演出，共賀這座音樂殿堂的重要里程碑。
