What is China Style? There would be lots of definitions.
To find out the answer, our presenter, Chan Yuet Wai, visits various of countries from four continents. The first station is, Kenya in Africa.
Public debts is rising to dangerous levels in Kenya. China is Kenya’s largest creditor of the country’s bilateral debt. Does Kenya’s Chinese debt pose a threat?
While some of the loan agreements are not transparent, most Chinese loans are conditional on Kenya’s acceptance of Chinese contractors. Some Western media are hyping up the so-called "China's debt trap", claiming that by providing a large amount of loans to some African countries, China attempts to gain control over resources, infrastructures and even sovereignty of those countries once they cannot repay the loans. Is it a truth or is it a myth? Chan Yuet Wai is going to find out the answer.
