    數年前,著名英國大廚湯姆・克里奇(Tom)重達190公斤。透過定期做運動以及嚴格遵守減肥餐單,他成功減去75公斤。Tom決定透過廚藝以及對食物的認識,協助13位減肥人士減少攝取卡路里,希望他們可以一邊享受美食,一邊減肥。

    Tom設計的一系列低卡路里食譜,不少是令人瘋狂的大餐甜品,究竟他如何令菜式不失原來的風味,又簡單健康?Tom相信捱餓絕對不是持續減磅的良方,所以每個菜式的份量都相當充足,減肥人士絕對不用擔心要捱餓。最終13位參加者能否成功減肥?

    For 10 weeks Tom Kerridge has been guiding a group of struggling dieters through a programme of healthy eating and exercise, with stunning results.

     

    To mark the end of their time together, Tom has invited his gang to join him on a river cruise. He wants to congratulate them on what they have achieved.

     

    Before the party Tom needs to sort out what to serve for the buffet. He shows us how to make couscous with griddled halloumi and Mediterranean vegetables. 

     

    Next on the party menu are Tom’s pulled pork tacos served with salad and homemade pickled onions. Marinating lean pork shoulder then slow cooking it delivers stunning taste and texture and there’s an ingenious trick for turning a floppy tortilla into a crispy taco shell to hold the pulled pork.

     

    And the final savoury dish is a plateful of Tom’s delicious falafels with tzatziki dip. Falafels are normally deep-fried but Tom’s method for reducing the calorie count is to bake them instead frying.  With a carrot cake for dessert, this looks like being a buffet to remember.

      不少減肥朋友也表示,要在上班時抵抗高卡食物的誘惑相當困難。故此, Tom特意設計「帶飯精選」這一系列新食譜,包括爆谷棒及尼斯吞拿魚沙律。

       

      Tom除了親身示範如何烹煮這款經典菜式,更邀得幾位減肥朋友即場試食。可惜Louise及Beth對吃魚感到非常抗拒。究竟作為米芝蓮星級大廚的Tom能否令她們對吃魚改觀呢?

      Some of the dieters are finding it hard to resist high calorie options when they are at work. So Tom creates a new batch of appetising recipes - his ‘movable feasts’ - to help them resist temptation away from home.

       

      The recipes include three packed lunches and a snack they won’t want to leave home without.  For mid-morning munchies or an afternoon boost, Tom offers a crunchy popcorn and chocolate snack bar with marshmallow. It’s like a Rocky Road but with way less calories.  On a date, the only couple taking part in Tom’s experiment smuggle a batch of these bars into the cinema with them. Later Tom catches up with them in a pizza restaurant to talk about making healthy choices.

       

      For his final recipe – a tuna Niçoise salad with fresh tuna - Tom invites three of his dieters over to learn how to make it, and of course to taste it.  The only problem is that two of them, Beth and Louise, don’t like fish. One hasn’t eaten fish since she was a small child and the other thinks that tuna is cat food. Will the Michelin-starred chef convert them with his tasty salad?

      有幾位減肥朋友間中會瞞著Tom,偷吃高卡路里快餐,他們稍一不慎便會前功盡廢。

       

      Tom今次的挑戰就是低卡路里的土耳其烤羊肉捲餅、火雞肉翠玉瓜漢堡、印度咖哩雞,味道絕對不會比我們平時於餐廳吃到的輸蝕。甜品方面有免油炸的焗都甩,足夠滿足我們專用來安放甜品的另一個胃。

       

      健身中心經理Pittri於每星期也會為自己安排一天“放縱日”,獎勵自己吃個漢堡,飲上幾杯,“卡路里”這三個字於這天絕無意義。

       

      只有22歲的肥Tom可說是快餐的忠粉,成為減肥朋友前的他每星期起碼會吃上三至四頓快餐。他談及叔叔因為過重患心臟病,剛過四十歲便過身。為免步叔叔後塵,他決定積極減磅。

      A couple of the lads in the group have been sneaking off for cheeky takeaways and he’s worried that they might give up altogether.  So Tom sets about inventing lower calorie alternatives to takeaways and ready meals.

       

      Doner kebabs are a post-pub favourite but typically exceed 1,000 calories. Tom creates a delicious burger using lean turkey mince and grated courgette.  He rustles up a batch of sweet doughnuts which are baked instead of fried. And he makes chicken tikka masala which tastes every bit as good as one you’d buy from a takeaway.

       

      Pittri, who is the manager of a local gym, is having ‘cheat days’ where calorie counting goes out the window in favour of a few drinks and a burger.

       

      Another of the fast food fans in the group is 22 year old Tom.  He admits that before starting this diet, he’d eat three or four takeaways a week. His motivation to lose weight is very poignant. His uncle died young because of obesity and Tom doesn’t want the same thing to happen to him.
