Planet Earth is 4.6 billion years old. To put humanity into perspective, if we reduce this figure to 46, we can say that Homo sapiens arrived in Europe 4 hours ago, and our industrial revolution began just this minute. In this time frame, we have destroyed more than 50% of earth’s forests, while putting at risk 25% of animal and plant species. These observations are unprecedented. The destruction of our ecosystems and our biodiversity has reached levels that threaten not only the environment, but the survival of our species. To avoid a tragic future on Earth, man must act now to protect nature.

Much like the very first explorers who set out into the unknown sea from Europe in search of new land and new discoveries, astrophysicists and astronauts, today keep their focus on the cosmos in a tireless search for new planets and any signs of life.

But if there is one destination that unites everyone’s fascination, it is Mars.
This hypnotic red planet is of particular interest to the scientific community because when we talk about looking for life elsewhere in the solar system, it is Mars that appears to have the most potential.

In this episode, we’ll explore an alien planet that is filled with life. Where is that planet? Far beyond our solar system. It is near the kind of star that is most common in the universe, a red dwarf. Planets revolving around such stars may be the best candidates for hosting alien life. On this planet, what is natural on Earth does not apply. Life on these planets has had much more time to evolve than on Earth. There may be life forms that have evolved far beyond us.

We believe that we have 5 senses, yet there is a 6th one. It is more mysterious, buried deep within us, and it is indispensable. It is proprioception, the perception of the position of our body in space.
It seems evident to us that we are constantly aware of where our hands, our legs, our head are situated. Yet, this ability is much more complex than we think. If light, noise, flavors, smells and wind are external sensations captured by our sensory organs, proprioception is turned towards the interior of our body. It is also impossible to "extinguish" this 6th sense, unlike with our ears, nose, and mouth that we can plug or close.
Let us embark on the discovery of this invisible sense, practically unconscious, and yet essential to our existence.
