Russian attack on Ukraine

On Monday's Covid Update and Backchat: the latest on the pandemic; and the Russian attack
on Ukraine.
Authorities on Friday reported 21,979 new Covid-19 notification cases and 47 deaths. All but
four of the new cases are local infections.
The government says it has identified two more sites for the construction of isolation and
treatment facilities for Covid patients. One is lent by a private developer and is located near Ma
Sik Road in Fanling. The other site is on the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities Island of
the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
As authorities prepare for the citywide testing programme planned for next month, Henry Fan,
the chairman of the Hospital Authority, says Guangdong authorities have agreed to send about
1,000 staff to help with the programme.
