Weekday programme Morning Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from earnest current affairs to cookery to the arts.
Catch it live:
Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1pm
Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. From 10 to 11 we’ll cruise through with some brand new music, with a bit of gold thrown in for good measure. Next Friday we’ll go on a brewery tour at this time to witness (listen to) a long gone HK favourite beer rise from the ashes. Tough work. At 11.10 Danny Hicks will be with us for this week’s Sports and All. Motor racing seems to be a real favourite with our Facebook punters, so that’s what he’ll be doing, along with whatever else there is to chat about. After 12 we’ll see what’s on at the movies... in James Marsh’s lounge. Join us on Facebook live throughout.
Good morning. Welcome to Tuesday on Morning Brew. After 10.30 today we’ll have the latest Australia news with Jarrod Watt. There’s a lot in the Aussie press this week (of course) about C-19, but also about various dealings with China, both positive and otherwise. He’ll tell you more, and of course play a couple of great tracks along the way. After 11 Dr. Merrin Pearse and his guest, conservationist and restaurateur Bobsy Gaia, will be on location (somewhere) to talk about composting food containers. After 12 Morris Miselowski joins us on the line from Melbourne for some more biz futurism. Due to a resurgence of COVID, people are living and working online again. Will they be using the same chat platform as before? Months ago Zoom seized the day and for a while this previous nonentity was king. With the benefit of experience, will the same happen again or is it time for another, less politically hot, player? Morris will look at the options.
