Air Pollution in Hong Kong / CSSA Re-worked

On Monday's Backchat, air pollution. Is it getting better, and if so, how fast? An environmental advocacy group has proposed a new set of 5-year air quality objectives up to 2025, and revised the targets of the concentration limits for key pollutants. Is this enough? Is the Government setting low targets so that development projects won't be impeded? Why are ozone levels on the rise?  What measures could be formulated to 'clean' the air? After 9.20, CSSA re-worked.

Women Workforce and International Women’s Day / Wildlife biodiversity and leopards

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Jim Gould

On Thursday's Backchat we're talking about how to strengthen the role of women in the workforce. The Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, stated in her policy address that she wanted to "unleash" the working potential of women, and promised various forms of family support to help make this happen, including community and home care services for the elderly, children, and people with disabilities. Meanwhile, at the top of the employment scale, a new report shows that women are still seriously under-represented on the boards of Hong Kong's leading companies. With Thursday being International Women's Day, we're asking what you think needs to be done about all of this. Leave a message, or email us at backchat@rthk.hk, or call us on 23388266. After 9.20, the mistaken sighting of a "tiger" in Ma On Shan Country Park.
