On Tuesday's Backchat, the latest Covid-19 situation in Hong Kong.
For the second day since the past Sunday, Hong Kong has recorded more than one hundred confirmed cases in a day. On Sunday, Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced work-for-home arrangements for civil servants and top microbiology expert Professor Yuen Kwok-yung warned on Monday Hong Kong may have to go into a virtual lockdown if the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase in the next seven to 14 days.
What contributed to the sudden increase of confirmed case? Any signs showing there's a mutation of the virus or simply because the public became less vigilant? What made this Covid-19 virus so difficult to tackle?
