On Wednesday’s Backchat we're talking about challenges faced by ethnic minorities during the Covid-19 pandemic, after a new survey by Unison, found that almost one in two respondents have lost their jobs during the fifth Covid wave, and 14 percent are underemployed.
The survey also found that many ethnic minority students lack access to resources that allow them to fully participate in online classes.
Survey organisers also stressed that ethnic minority families overall earned much less than the general population, with 57 percent of them living below the 2020 poverty line.
So, how effective are current poverty alleviating measures in addressing this problem? What more can be done?
After 9:15, we look at new data on salt levels in dim sum.
