On Wednesday's Backchat, we're looking at whether a transitional housing project in Yuen Long… that appears to be falling flat.
Nearly half of the units at a housing project run by Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council, are still vacant after tenants started moving in 6 months ago.
The welfare group expressed hope the government would do more to promote the flats.
But why are people not taking advantage of the new project given Hong Kong’s acute housing shortage? Is it about the lack of promotion, the location, or something else?
And after 9:15am, does size matter? Yes it does, when it comes to diamond engagement rings ac-cording to a new survey.
And at 9.25am, we'll be joined by RTHK sports correspondent Atom Cheung with the latest on the World Cup.

On Thursday’s Backchat, we’re talking about gaming addiction, particularly among the young.

The mainland’s gaming industry asssociation has declared victory against gaming addiction — with a new study showing that three-quarters of under-18s now play video games for no more than three hours a week in line with regulations brought in last September.

Officials had previously likened the problem to ‘spiritual opium.’

There are no such limits in Hong Kong — a place where people were found to spend upwards of 40 hours a week on the internet, according to a separate study by software firm NordVPN.

So, how susceptible are Hong Kong teens to video game addiction? Has the age of Covid made things worse? Is there enough attention being paid to this potential problem.

After 9.15am, we’ll look at the homeless situation, after the audit report revealed a significant jump in the number of street sleepers in Hong Kong.

And at 9.25am, we'll be joined by RTHK sports correspondent Atom Cheung with the latest on the World Cup.
