Fanling Golf Course development / Homo-naledi discoveries
On Friday's Backchat, we're discussing plans to build public housing flats on the Fanling Golf Course.
The Planning Department on Monday temporarily rezoned a part of the golf course in Fanling from "residential" to "undetermined".
But the Development minister Bernadette Linn made clear that the government still plans to build public flats on a part of the golf course, despite the change.
She added that she couldn't give a concrete timetable for the development and said the original goal of 12,000 homes may not be met.
The change comes as the golf club, is scheduled to host the Aramco golf tournament in October. It has also been shortlisted for hosting the Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf Tournament next year.

On Thursday's Backchat, we're talking about Hong Kong's goal to eradicate AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
The objective was laid out on Tuesday in a five-year strategy released by the Hong Kong Advisory Council on Aids, in line with the goal set out by the United Nations Programme on HIV and Aids, to end the disease as a public health threat.
So far in the first 9 months of this year, Hong Kong has recorded 307 new HIV infections, of which 53 involved a diagnosis of Aids.
And homosexual contact among men make up a high proportion of HIV infections, followed by het-erosexual contact and drug use via injection.
So what are the main challenges in eradicating AIDS as a public health threat? Can it be done over the next 8 years?
After 9.15am, we will look at the government's plan to revamp cross-harbour tunnel fares.
And at 9.25am, we'll be joined by RTHK sports correspondent Atom Cheung with the latest on the World Cup.
