Regulating job-hopping for foreign domestic helpers / The workplace happiness index

On Wednesday's Backchat we're talking about the government's proposal to tighten up rules on ‘job-hopping’ for foreign domestic workers.

A public consultation is underway on whether employment agencies should be made to tell helpers that authorities would only approve them breaking contracts prematurely under ‘exceptional circumstances’, and make it clear that they’d have to leave Hong Kong and get a new visa before they can come back to work for a new employer.
Migrants have complained about the proposal, calling it unfair and discriminatory.
How big of a problem is job-hopping among domestic workers? Is it unfair to tighten regulations against the practice? Would it actually discourage job-hopping?
After 9:45, we'll look at a study on how happy we all are at the workplace

On Monday’s Backchat, we’re talking about agriculture and organic farming. While Hong Kong remains heavily dependent on the mainland for imports of vegetables, there are calls for the territory to increase self-sufficiency with more home-grown produce. With the government placing an emphasis on sustainable farming and fishing, we’ll be asking what needs to be done if the sector is to thrive, through finance, land use and technological support. Would urban agriculture enhance our quality of life?

After 9:45, we’ll be looking at the reopening of Cruise Terminal for international cruises, after three
    years of the pandemic.
