    Iran-Israel conflict / Hockey 5's

On Friday's Backchat, we're talking about escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.

Last week, Iran fired over 300 drones and missiles in retaliation to its foe's strike on a diplomatic compound in Damascus earlier this month, killing 16, including two civilians.
This is the first time ever that Iran has launched an attack on Israel directly from its own territory.
And, while Israel's air defence system thwarted 99% percent of the Iranian missiles, with only one serious casualty recorded, some analysts worry that a repeat of last week's tit-for-tat could be far more intensive.
Was the Iranian attack on Israel, and the threats of retaliation from Israel, a game changer? Could we be seeing an escalation in conventional warfare in the region? And how will domestic politics within the US and Israel shape the geo-political landscape?
After 9:45, we learn more from the organisers of this year's Mega Ice Hockey 5's.

New findings on building safety / Launch of the world’s first geosynchronous orbit radar satellite

    主持人:Janice Wong and Danny Gittings

On today's Backchat, we look at building safety after experts identified some two dozen buildings on Hong Kong Island that are at an immediate risk of having falling masonry.

The Hong Kong Institution of Building Inspectors, together with the DAB party, inspected 50 buildings that were considered high-risk due to their age and inspection status.
Half of them were found to have various defects that experts say could pose an immediate risk to the community.
The findings come amid a spate of incidents involving concrete falling from buildings over the last couple of months.
After 9:45am, we learn more on the launch of the world’s first geosynchronous orbit radar satellite.

9:05am-9:45am: New findings on building safety

9:05am-9:45am: Marvin Chen, Honorary President, Hong Kong Institute of Building Inspectors
9:15am-9:45am: Tony Za, Chairman of the Building Division, Hong Kong Institute of Engineers

9:45am-10:00am: World's first geosynchronous orbit radar satellite
