    Latest privacy protection advice / HKJC's global rebrand / Tourism hotspot development

    On Thursday's Backchat, we talked to the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, on her office’s latest advice on how best to protect personal data, especially in the age of artificial intelligence.
    We also found out from the CEO of the Hong Kong Jockey Club about a new initiative to further upgrade its entertainment experience, after it partnered with a top entertainment brand that brought the world pop group Spice Girls and American Idol.
    After the break, we heard about the government’s plan to develop nine tourism hotspots to cater for new travel preferences.

    Deep Dive into the global computer outage last Friday/Disappearance of old shops

    we’ll be discussing the fallout from the faulty security software update that recently crashed more than 8 million Microsoft Windows computers around the world. Businesses, banks, hospitals, and airlines were among the worst affected with experts saying the outage highlighted the vulnerability of global computer networks as well as the potential for malicious attacks. 

    Later in the program, we'll speak to a lawmaker and a local architect about whether our "collective memory" of old shops in the city is in danger of disappearing.
