Controversy over HKU expansion plans / Hong Kong Open golf tournament results

    主持人:Andrew Work and Rainbow Leung

On Monday’s Backchat, we talking about controversial plans to build a new research hub in Pok Fu Lam. The University of Hong Kong is hoping to build a Global Innovation Centre which — if it goes ahead — could rezone land classified as a “green belt”.

Residents’ groups have expressed concern at the environmental and traffic impact of the plans, leading the university to reduce the density of the proposed development. But despite HKU announcing that it would review the scale of these proposals, some residents would like to see the campus extension moved out of their neighbourhood, suggesting Cyberport or the San Tin Technopole as more suitable locations.
After 9:45, we'll look into the result of this year's Hong Kong Open golf tournament.

9:05am-9:45am: Cootroversy over HKU's expansion plans

9:05am-9:45am: Gregory De’Eb, Representative of the HKUGIC Public Representation Group

9:05am-9:30am: Oren Tatcher, Principal of urban planning consultancy OTC Limited

9:30am-9:45am: Greg Wong, former Vice-Chairman of the Town Planning Board

9:45am-10:00am: Hong Kong Open golf tournament results
