    The exhibition Tao Hui: In the Land Beyond Living uses sculptures, video, sound, installation and set design to open up new angles from which to contemplate contemporary society and urban struggles. It’s part of Tai Kwun Contemporary’s new Breakthrough series, which focuses on emerging artistic positions. CultureZine’s art expert Ingrid Chen spoke to Pi Li, the Head of Art of Tai Kwun Contemporary about this exhibition, what’s coming up next , and Tai Kwun’s overall programming direction. Ingrid first asked him why Tao hui was chosen:

    This week, we look ahead to the Affordable Art Fair with Hong Kong Fair director Regina Zhang. CultureZine’s resident art expert will be digging deep with one painter taking part in the fair to find out what makes her tick, and to ask her about her dream coffee date. Also in store is a closer look at the wonders on display at the Palace Museum, and the workshop of one of Hong Kong’s few violin makers.

    The Affordable Art Fair will kick off at the Hong Kong Convention and exhibition centre very soon. There’ll be a wide variety of pieces on sale from artists both locally and around the world for the budget-conscious art consumer. But what do they mean when they say affordable? Janice Wong asked the fair’s director, Regina Zhang, about her definition:
