    CultureZine this Saturday Join Janice Wong this Saturday morning at 9.05 for CultureZine, as she discovers all sorts of fascinating new things about Hong Kong's flourishing arts and culture life. This week, we’ll hear about Open House Hong Kong - a group formed by architecture enthusiasts that’s about to launch a series of tours around the city, to boost people’s appreciation of architecture in Hong Kong. Our art expert Ingrid Chen will speak to the Chief Curator at M+ to learn about the museum’s programming. And, we explore the craft of traditional lantern making ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival.     14/09/2024 - Kay Chan and Helen Fan - Open House Hong Kong

    Now, everyone know the iconic Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, but have you ever been inside? And while you’re likely familiar with Jardine House in Central, do you know why the windows are round? A group of enthusiasts, including architects, scholars, curators and researchers have launched Open House Hong Kong - a group aimed at boosting people’s appreciation of architecture through expert guided tours. Janice Wong spoke to two members of the group’s organising committee- Kay Chan and Helen Fan to find out more:

    The M+ museum has been offering a wide range of exhibitions here recently - from Henry Steiner, the father of graphic design in Hong Kong, to Chinese American architect I.M. Pei, and next week it will launch an exhibition on Guo Pei , China’s first couture artist. CultureZine’s art expert Ingrid Chen spoke to Doryun Chong the chief curator at M-plus to find out how his culture experience here has influenced what’s on display at the museum:

We’ll also hear about Swiftly Rising -  a live music event dedicated to the art of songwriting that will take place in Jordan on Saturday night.
