This week, we talk about the buzz surrounding a local documentary on one of Hong Kong’s toughest, but least well-known races: the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge. We explore an exhibition featuring the photographic work of artists Yasumasa Morimura and Cindy Sherman at M+. And we find out more about a modern reimagining of an ancient Chinese guitar called the ruan.

It’s an ambitious and innovative display that seeks create contemplative, meditative experiences through poetic and minimalist interventions that involve sound, light, image and kinetic installations. Now, the exhibition is finally open at CHAT - the Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile located at The Mills in Tsuen Wan. Halim’s gone back to check out the show, and she spoke to the centre’s executive director and chief curator, Takahashi Mizuki:

    10/08/2024 - Chan Sai-lok and Chui Pui-chee - local artists

Earlier this year, Hollywood road was ranked the second coolest street in the world by TimeOut Magazine. And now two local artists Chan Sai Lok and Chui Pui chee have come up with a joint exhibition for their Hollywood Road inspired artwork. Janice Wong first asked Mr Chan how he’s inspired by the iconic street:
