28/09/2024 - Albert Leung and Herbert Leung - Directors of Stuntman

Hong Kong movies are renowned for their action scenes – which are only possible thanks to the sacrifices made by that special breed of cinematic professionals… known as stunt performers. And they’ve really come under the spotlight this year. Earlier, we had a Hollywood movie, the Fall Guy, about stunt performers, and now it’s our turn. A new local production, Stuntman, promises to take a deeper look at the craft and its performers. And it’s not just about taking punches and kicks and falling off buildings – though there’s plenty of that – it also delves into the emotions of stuntmen and what makes them tick. The movie is co-directed by Albert and Herbert Leung who are twins, and both stuntmen-turned-filmmakers. They spoke to CultureZine’s Halim:

28/09/2024 - Wilfred Wong - chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Fund Advisory Committee

To help propel the city’s rise as a global cultural hub, the first Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo will take place in the middle of next month. To find out more, Janice Wong talked to the spokesman of the event - Wilfred Wong - chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Fund Advisory Committee:

28/09/2024 - Elaine Yan Ling Ng - Local artist

This week our art expert Ingrid Chen visited the McCallen House in Central… Not for the whisky, but to speak to local artist Elaine Yan Ling Ng about her latest art installation which aims to create an illusion of being immersed in a golden flow of whisky.

    28/09/2024 - Polly Ferman - Pianist

And finally, CultureZine's Rachel Liu spoke to pianist Polly Ferman to find out more about “Tango in the Night” - the debut performance of the 25th Season of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong.
