China's National Bureau of Statistics reported that industrial profits rose 16.3% y/y in September to 739 billion yuan (US$115.7bn), increasing from the previous month’s 10.1% growth. In the period from January to September, industrial profits rose 44.7% to 6.3 trillion yuan, up 41.2% from the same period in 2019, leaving two-year growth at 18.8%. Profits for the mining sector increased by 204% y/y and 42.5% for the raw material manufacturing sector in September.
