Dwyfor Evans, Head of APAC Macro Strategy at State Street Global Markets, tells James Ross that the probability of a Fed hike before the end of the year is pretty much a coin toss at the moment, but he thinks they won’t move in November.
Moving onto mainland China, Andrew Freris, CEO at Ecognosis Advisory, says with very low inflation rates, you cannot have big changes in interest rates, so he’s not expecting movement there either.

Andrew Sullivan, Managing Director at Outset Global, notes that mainland China authorities could have made changes in pension related policies that might stimulate the economy, but decided to invest in other areas.
