主持人:Carlos Escueta and Pete Laverick
Every Saturday afternoon from 3:05 to 4 we'll be having a Sports Break with pundits Carlos Escueta and Pete Laverick, to bring you news, views, and interviews from the world of sport, both home and away.
This week, we visit the Hong Kong Football Festival, which is being held at the Kai Tak Stadium for the second consecutive year with four top European clubs visiting the city. Carlos managed to catch up with one of the organisers of the mega sporting event, Racheal Carroll of TEG Sport, prior to tonight’s kick-off between Manchester City and Inter Milan. Later, we welcome back Ethan Feng to the show, as he unpacks some of his personal favourite moments from his journey across eleven different North American cities to catch the action from this year’s World Cup.
It’s a busy, action-packed episode of Sports Break this week, starting with a wrap up on Hong Kong’s week-long Football Festival. With English giants Manchester City having come into town, Carlos had the chance to sit at a round table interview with star player Antoine Semenyo at a press event in Kowloon Bay. Tune in to hear the Ghana international’s personal journey and career as a pro footballer. Later, we catch up with Manila-based sportscaster Sev Sarmenta to dive into this past week’s historic victory for Philippine tennis ace Alex Eala, who became the first-ever Filipina player to win a WTA-500 title in Washington DC.
