Every weekday from noon, The Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from current affairs to cookery, sport, the arts, technology, and music... lots of music. For 19 years, Phil has presented 'Morning Brew', but now that we've moved to the lunchtime spot, all we need to change is the name. We have the same MB crew coming to you on the same days, and we're open for business... as usual.

Happy Wednesday. Welcome to The Brew. The news just in is that Philippe Dova is tied up last minute, so he'll be back next Wednesday at his regular time. We will, however, be finding out all about the world's oldest orchestra, which dates back to the 1740s. That's before Mozart was born, and just before the actual 'classical' period in music history kicked in. Crazy! At 1:25, Paul Archibald will tell you a lot more, and play some amazing recordings by... the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra from Germany, as it's 'classical' music day once again.

James in for The Brew today and at 1.30 we go racing with Andrew Harding, Director of Racing at the HKJC Hong Kong Jockey Club, as we track the fortunes of Romantic Warrior (photo) both here at home, and abroad - this weekend he's racing in Saudi Arabia. Before that at 12.30pm we do All Things French with RTL's Philippe Dova, and today we're off to Cambodia with Julie Pietri (photo), star of French song, and icon of the 80s! Plus the best in music 'til 2.
