Morris Miselowski - Live from Melbourne / Jarrod Watt - Live from Melbourne / Rob Lilwall - New audiobook

It’s Tuesday on The Brew, and a big thank you to James Ross for sitting in yesterday. At 12:10 biz futurist Morris Miselowski joins us live from Melbourne. The theme this week is the Nobels. Yesterday’s prize for medicine started with a question about pond algae, how a green slime finds the light, and thirty years later that same trick gave a blind man in Paris enough sight to find a notebook on a table. Morris will also get into something we’ve all noticed and won’t admit, that we’ve started talking to each other in AI prompt language. Be concise. No waffle. End with a question. At 12:40 Jarrod Watt is with us, live from Melbourne as well, with this week’s news, some great music, and a little goodbye to a great friend of the arts here in Hong Kong. Then at 1:25 we talk to Hong Kong resident, explorer and motivational speaker Rob Lilwall, a regular guest back then in the very early days of Morning Brew. He’s got a new audiobook of his adventure from the 2000s, Cycling Home from Siberia. In 2004 he flew to Magadan with a bike and his life savings, and it took him three and a half years and 30,000 miles to get back to London, via frozen rivers, the jungles of Papua New Guinea and the Hindu Kush. Join Rob on Facebook live if you can.
