This week, China's leading policymakers convened in Beijing for an important meeting that will shape the nation's development over the next five years. The four-day, closed-door session, referred to as the fourth plenum of the Communist Party's Central Committee, features President Xi Jinping presenting a work report and detailing the party's proposals for the 15th five-year plan, known as 十五五 in Chinese. The meeting includes over 350 full and alternate committee members, predominantly composed of provincial-level officials and executives from state-owned enterprises.

Chloe Feng and CM Chan will discuss the importance of the meeting with Han Shen Lin, the China Managing Director for The Asia Group, as well as Tianchen Xu, senior economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit.
