Dubbed the "Goddess of Erhu," Chan Pik-sum dazzles on stage. Offstage, she's also a culinary whiz, known to whip up a variety of delicious dishes, making her a favourite among friends and family. A fervent lover of Chinese music, especially the nanyin , she often collaborates with her partner, Johnny Yim , merging Eastern and Western sounds to explore new musical horizons.
Chan Pik-sum is a huqin virtuoso. Active in both Chinese and Western music scenes, she has collaborated with several ensembles, including the Fulcrum Point New Music Project of Chicago , Chung Chi Wind Orchestra of the Chinese University of Hong Kong , the Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra , and the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong , often being invited as a solo performance guest. She frequently ventures into interdisciplinary performances, collaborating with dancers, chinese opera artists, and multimedia artists.

EP13: Yany Tse
The harp has an elegant form and a spiritual tone, leading many to assume that female harpists must be delicate, quiet, and graceful, almost like ethereal goddesses. In this episode, harpist Yany Tse breaks this stereotype with her cheerful personality. Just like other young people, she participates in online discussions, enjoys eating tofu and roast pork rice at food stalls, and appreciates the simple side of life. She will perform several songs on the harp, including film scores from Harry Potter and Frozen.
Yany Tse is a local harpist who holds a Bachelor's degree (majoring in harp) and a Performance Diploma (majoring in guzheng, with a minor in harp) from the School of Music of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Over the years, she has won numerous awards worldwide. In 2017, she won the third place in the Concours International de Harpes, a world harp competition in France, becoming the first Chinese to achieve this honor.

EP12: Kennedy City Chamber Orchestra
The Kennedy City Chamber Orchestra is composed of four young musicians: Samuel Kwok, Eric Cheung, Jayne Wong, and Woody Leung.
Each having a wealth of performance experience and a passion for music. They choose to perform pop songs in a quartet format, hoping to bring a fresh feeling to the audience.
Samuel Kwok, a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in violin performance, has participated in orchestral performances in different countries such as South Korea and Germany; Eric Cheung, also a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, has participated in performances of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and the Opera Hong Kong Orchestra; Jayne Wong, a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, is currently active in chamber music and orchestral performances; Woody Leung, who holds the ATCL violin performance diploma and the LTCL piano performance diploma from the Trinity College London, has served as a music instructor and orchestra conductor in over 20 primary and secondary schools.

EP11: Zhang Chongxue
Zhang Chongxue, the guest concertmaster of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, developed a love for erhu performance during her childhood, influenced by her father and grandfather. Since then, the huqin has become a part of her life. To become the concertmaster of an orchestra, one must possess exceptional skills and pass numerous tests and challenges to lead the orchestra. Facing a lot of pressure, she chooses to travel and watch movies for relaxation, which also helps her handle both classical and pop music with ease.
Zhang Chongxue, a member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association, graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2006 and joined the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra the same year.

EP10: Rachel Cheung
Driven by her perseverance, Rachel Cheung has achieved remarkable accomplishments in her musical journey. Her daily routine sheds light on her discipline: she practices the piano for at least 4 hours and insists on working out for 1 hour. A dedicated animal lover, she follows a pescatarian diet and shares snippets of her life with her dog, Choppy.
In this episode, besides delivering classic pieces from Chopin and Bach, Rachel also presents a song by a French composer.
Rachel Cheung, a local pianist, graduated with first class honours from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She later earned her master’s degree from the Yale School of Music in the United States. Notably, she received the esteemed Elizabeth Parisot Prize for outstanding pianists from Yale University. Advancing to the finals of the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition , she made history as the first Hong Kong pianist to reach this stage and clinched the Audience Award .

EP8: Kelvin Leung, Aaron Lui
Kelvin Leung is a local chromatic harmonica player who has been actively performing in various shows in recent years. This led to his collaboration with his friend and guitarist, Aaron Lui . Both share a love for coffee and even incorporate it as an element in their performances. In this episode, they will share amusing stories from their collaboration and the tales behind their compositions.
In the 2013 World Harmonica Festival in Trossingen, Germany, Kelvin clinched the championship in the solo adult category as well as in the large ensemble.
Aaron Lui minored in music at the University of Hong Kong and has been learning various instruments since childhood, including the violin, guitar, and piano.

EP7: Crisel Consunji
In the film Still Human, Crisel Consunji plays a Filipino domestic helper. However, in reality, she is a singer and actress. Beyond performing, she also has a passion for early childhood arts education. Having made Hong Kong her home, how does she perceive the city and its inhabitants?
With extensive experience in musical theatre, Crisel Consunji will present a range of familiar tunes for our audience, from Mandarin hits to movie theme songs. Let us enjoy her melodious renditions.
Crisel Consunji was born in the Philippines and holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Literature from the Ateneo de Manila University. She earned her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education from The Education University of Hong Kong.

EP6: Wang Liang
From a young age, Wang Liang formed a strong bond with the violin. His fervor for music has always been evident. While constantly striving for perfection, he generously shares insights and techniques on online platforms.
In this episode, not only can viewers appreciate his performance, but they can also get a glimpse into his daily life with his wife Gui Li , who is also a violinist. Wang Liang delves into the intricacies and challenges of performing the violinist's litmus test - Paganini's 24 Caprices.
Wang Liang has twice clinched First Prize at the Shenyang Music Conservatory Violin Competition . He has trained under the guidance of former Tokyo String Quartet cellist, Sadao Harada , and the former principal of Berlin Philharmonic, Rainer Kussmaul . He has performed at the closing concert of the International Chamber Music Masterclass. Currently, he holds the position of Second Associate Concertmaster for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

Teriver Cheung is an extraordinary jazz guitarist. Just when his career was taking off, he was suddenly diagnosed with stage four cancer, forcing his life to come to an abrupt halt. After undergoing a series of treatments and multiple brushes with death, he never gave up. Was it music, good doctors, or friends that kept him going?
In this episode, Teriver Cheung invites Ted Lo, known as the godfather of jazz in Hong Kong, and his close collaborator and friend, Sotoc, to share his journey fighting cancer and to present jazz works of different styles to the audience.
