      Episode 4 (Ramp-and-Dump)

Aunt Bing fell into a "pump and dump" scam once again, losing all her money and suffering an emotional breakdown. The investigators noticed suspicious activities involving Digi Securities, with the key figures being the head of the securities firm, Lo Kam, and the influential stock market player, Ma Chi Wa. There were unusual transactions between the two, but Ma Chi Wa claimed that his subordinates were responsible for them, asserting his innocence and displaying arrogance. Tony boosted the morale of his discouraged team members and decided to focus on exposing the major flaws of Lo Kam. They relentlessly questioned Lo about his various transactions, using both persuasive and coercive tactics. They first warned him that he must respond to questions based on SFO183 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Then, they mentioned the principles of confidentiality agreements and the fact that admission of guilt cannot be used for prosecution under SFO187. After some ups and downs, they finally convinced him to cooperate.

Feeling the pressure, Ma hastily destroyed all the evidence and planned to escape by helicopter. This prompted a joint operation by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the police, leading to a chase and confrontation. Eventually, they apprehended him. Afterward, Tony and Crystal's relationship improved, and their working dynamics were subtly influenced by each other. As members of the Securities and Regulatory Commission, they continued their mission to uphold fairness in the stock market and worked together towards that goal.
