COP29 Climate Conference Without Borders (Part 1)

The United Nations Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, gathers nearly 200 countries to explore solutions to the climate crisis, striving to limit global warming to within 1.5 degrees Celsius. Representatives from Hong Kong actively participate in discussions on environmental policies and climate finance at the forum hosted at the "China Pavilion". What new insights will this conference bring?

Energy transition is a globally agreed critical climate solution. Under the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Azerbaijan have embarked on extensive green energy cooperation projects. The Gobustan Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant in Gobustan is the first utility-scale renewable energy project in the region, providing ample power to the area and reducing nearly 200,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. It serves as a showcase of green energy transition in an oil state. How can international cooperation continue to pave the way for a sustainable future?
