To continue supporting the government’s efforts to develop Hong Kong into a
regional intellectual property trading hub, Radio Television Hong Kong
(RTHK) has once again collaborated with the Intellectual Property
Department to produce a new season of the TV series “IP New Opportunities.”
Across four episodes, the programme introduces four local enterprises that
have obtained design registrations, patents, trademarks, or copyright
licences. It explores how intellectual property licensing can be used to
organise various types of exhibitions and events, driving the growth of the
IP economy and related industries. The series also looks at how university
start-ups in Hong Kong use patent protection to successfully commercialise
technological inventions, enabling rapid business expansion.
With Hong Kong’s sound legal system and abundant professional talent and
resources, the city is well-positioned to provide competitive services for
intellectual property transactions. How can IP stakeholders—including
entrepreneurs, inventors, innovation and technology professionals,
designers, and members of the creative industries—grasp this opportunity to
unlock even more possibilities.
