Mushrooms are nutritious and helps to reduce fat, defecate and improve dry skin. However, some people are scared of mushrooms. They are the gout patients. People generally think that mushrooms are high-purine food, and many of them are afraid that mushrooms will increase the risk of gout attacks. Is there any ground for such saying? In this episode of “Eat Well Live Well”, we will unveil the truth about mushrooms! The two “Food Fanatic” visit the organic mushroom farm of Hong Kong. This special mushroom farm was converted from recycled containers, thus allowing for effective control of temperature and humidity. The farm produces some species which are less common in Hong Kong, and the “Food Fanatic” also learn how to pick mushrooms.
