Backchat
On Friday's Backchat, we're talking about escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.
Last week, Iran fired over 300 drones and missiles in retaliation to its foe's strike on a diplomatic compound in Damascus earlier this month, killing 16, including two civilians.
This is the first time ever that Iran has launched an attack on Israel directly from its own territory.
And, while Israel's air defence system thwarted 99% percent of the Iranian missiles, with only one serious casualty recorded, some analysts worry that a repeat of last week's tit-for-tat could be far more intensive.
Was the Iranian attack on Israel, and the threats of retaliation from Israel, a game changer? Could we be seeing an escalation in conventional warfare in the region? And how will domestic politics within the US and Israel shape the geo-political landscape?
After 9:45, we learn more from the organisers of this year's Mega Ice Hockey 5's.
