Two distinct travel memories to Hong Kong ended up planting the seeds of a new home for both Head Chef Balram Yadav and restaurant owner Alex P.E. Through the masterful blending of spices, Indian cuisine accentuates a vibrant tapestry of color, aroma, and flavor—showcased in iconic dishes like butter chicken and crispy dosa—with the northern and southern regions each cultivating their own distinct culinary traditions. Deeply inspired by watching his mother cook throughout his childhood, Balram embarked on a culinary path early in life; his extensive international working experience eventually led him to realize his culinary dreams step-by-step in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, unable to bear the thought of his beloved dining haunt closing its doors after many years, Alex boldly stepped in to take over the business, dedicated to preserving and passing on its rich vegetarian culture. In this same vibrant space, both men have turned an exciting new page in their lives.

Childhood hyperactivity—often described colloquially as “big‑headed shrimp, never stopping”—is very common. When these behaviors persist into adulthood, there is a chance of having ADHD (Attention‑Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). A university estimate suggests that 2.5 % of Hong Kong’s adult population may have the condition, yet data from the Hospital Authority show that fewer than 4,000 adults have been diagnosed and are receiving treatment. How can one determine whether they have ADHD? Is this behavioral disorder hereditary? In this episode we will invite adult ADHD patients to share their experiences, and the medical team will explain the latest diagnostic and treatment approaches.

The life of Dr. Henry Hu Hung Lick is a perfect embodiment of scholarship, moral integrity, and profound compassion. In his early years, he traveled to Paris and the United Kingdom, earning his Doctorate in Law and qualifying as a barrister respectively. He subsequently practiced in Hong Kong, earning immense respect within the legal profession. During the 1960s and 1970s, he actively campaigned for the legal status of the Chinese language and championed nine-year free education, opening up more equitable opportunities for society. In their fifties, he and his wife, Dr. Chung Chi Yung, resolutely relinquished their fame and fortune, dedicating the vast majority of their life savings and 35 years of their lives to establish Hong Kong's first private university—Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Their steadfast dedication to providing educational opportunities for young people has created a legacy of nurturing talent that spans over half a century. From humble beginnings in a modest three-storey house in Happy Valley to today’s fully-fledged Braemar Hill campus, this journey testifies not only to the rise of a university, but also serves as a portrait of an educator's lifelong perseverance—safeguarding the pure conviction of "serving the nation through education" amidst a bustling metropolis. Featuring Interviews with Dr. Hu Fai Chung (Son of Dr. Henry Hu Hung Lick; President, Hong Kong Shue Yan University) Professor Catherine Sun Tien Lun (Senior Vice President, Hong Kong Shue Yan University) Dr. Kaman Lee Ka Man (Associate Vice President and Alumna, Hong Kong Shue Yan University) Dr. Francis Cheung (Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors and Alumnus, Hong Kong Shue Yan University)
