    Israel-Iran conflict / China-Africa ties / Centre Street Soeng5 Lok6 Festival

On today's programme, we delved into the escalating tension in the Middle East. The United Nations is calling for restraint as Israel and Iran continue to exchange fire. China has also expressed concern and condemned Israel’s violations of Iran’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. Tel Aviv and Tehran traded blows after Israel launched a blistering surprise attack on Iranian nuclear and military sites on Friday, killing several top generals.

We also heard about China’s growing friendship with African nations. Beijing announced last week it will grant zero tariffs on all tariff lines for the 53 African countries with which it has diplomatic relations. We spoke to an expert to find out about the significance of the move amid rising geopolitical and trade tensions around the globe.
