After the break, we looked at efforts to bolster law enforcement in Hong Kong. The police will expand their drone patrol programme to the Peak, Cheung Chau and Lamma Island to enhance crime prevention, crowd control and traffic monitoring capabilities.

HKTDC mainland consumer survey / Ocean Park ride malfunction / Chengdu World Games / Animal waste blackspots

    主持人:Brian Wong and Ada Wong

On Tuesday’s Backchat, we looked at how Hong Kong businesses navigate the mainland’s e-commerce market. A research conducted by the Trade Development Council found that most online customers in the mainland have a high level of trust in Hong Kong brands. We spoke to a representative from the council to find out how businesses here can ride on this advantage and further expand into the mainland's e-commerce market.

We then got an expert's take on what happened at Ocean Park on Sunday, when one of its rides malfunctioned and left 17 people stranded in mid-air for over an hour.

After the break, we turned our attention to the World Games in Chengdu. The Hong Kong, China team has done very well so far, clinching several medals already.

And finally, a political party has listed out some "animal waste blackspots", saying more needs to be done to enhance street hygiene in Hong Kong. We talked to a district councilor and animal activist on what can be done to clean up pet waste in the city.
