On Tuesday’s programme, we spoke with a newly elected legislator following Sunday’s Legislative Council elections. Longtime Sai Kung District Councillor Christine Fong romped to an overwhelming victory in the New Territories South East geographical constituency with 58,828 votes. We asked her how she feels about winning the election, and what her priorities are after taking office.
We also looked back at French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to China - which saw a number of economic agreements being signed. President Xi Jinping also hosted his French counterpart in the city of Chengdu, where they met students and visited pandas as well as an ancient dam.
We then covered the latest on the devastating floods that have wreaked havoc in Southeast Asia with thousand of deaths in the region. We'll learn more about what the situation is like in Southern Thailand.
