On this programme, we talked to our Silicon Valley correspondent after Palantir, an AI company, is to be granted access to a trove of highly sensitive UK financial regulation data. The deal has prompted fresh concerns as the US analytic firm's extends its reach into the British state.
After that, we heard from a veteran meteorologist about the Hong Kong Observatory's forecast for the year. The weatherman is expecting the city’s annual mean temperature this year to be above normal, with a strong chance of ranking among the top 10 warmest years on record. The city could also expect about four to seven storms to come within 500 kilometres, a figure close to normal.
After the break, aviation experts analysed the potential causes behind a fatal aviation accident at New York's LaGuardia Airport earlier this week, where an Air Canada plane collided with a firefighting vehicle. The pilot and copilot were killed in the collision.
