    Kai Tak Hospital opening / New prostate cancer surgical method / CUHK develops novel drug for Huntington’s disease / Asian Games wrap-up

    On this programme we speak with a local district councillor to discuss the impact of the upcoming Kai Tak Hospital - Hong Kong's largest medical facility - and its role as a vital public healthcare hub for the community.
    Then, we learn about a new technique introduced at Queen Mary Hospital that can minimise wounds caused by surgery on prostate cancer patients.
    After the break, we're joined by members of a research team from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and its biotech spin-off company to find out how their their experimental peptide drug won US FDA approval to treat Huntington's disease.
    And to wrap up the show, we look back at Hong Kong, China's success so far at the Asian Games, which concluded on Sunday in Nagoya.

    HKU launches Wealth Management Academy / Study on dementia and songs / Coul AI destroy humanity? / CityU v CUHK brain multitasking study

    On this programme, we first speak with the director of the first Wealth Management Academy led by the University of Hong Kong Business School on how to nurture the next generation of wealth management professionals, while fostering knowledge exchange across the industry. 

    Then, a doctor tells us how elderly patients suffering from dementia and cognitive decline can become less agitated after listening to their favourite songs.

    After the break, we turn our attention to AI as a former Anthropic researcher warned that the unchecked race to build self-improving super intelligence could destroy humanity by the end of the decade.

    And to wrap up the show, we look into a study by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong that uncovered how the brain dynamically manages and reorganises its neural resources when learning to multitask.
