On today’s programme, we’re talking about a campaign to attract medical staff from overseas to work in Hong Kong -- beginning with the United Kingdom this coming weekend.
The Hospital Authority is sending a delegation to certain medical colleges in the UK, where many Hong Kong students are studying, in the hope of addressing a current shortage of medical personnel at home.
And the HA Chief Executive, Tony Ko, will attend an event held by the Hong Kong Medical Society of the United Kingdom on Saturday in London to explain details of how overseas doctors could practise in the SAR. The next day there'll be a recruitment day for medical students, interns, and trainees as well as specialists.
After 9:45, we’re going to be talking about an adoption programme for abandoned exotic pets, including lizards, geckos and turtles.
