Xi Jinping's Europe visit / EOC's practical guidelines for guide dogs

    Presenters:Brian Wong and Janice Wong

On Friday's Backchat, we are talking about President Xi Jinping's six-day state visit to Europe, which includes France, Serbia and Hungary.

President Xi's visit kicked off earlier this week in Paris, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China. Trade and Ukraine were high on the agenda in what sources close to the French presidency described as "friendly and very frank talks" between the two leaders.
Xi continued his European tour by paying a call to his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vučić on Tuesday, a symbolic day marking the 25th anniversary of the bombing of China's Belgrade embassy by NATO forces during the Kosovo War, leaving three Chinese journalists dead and 20 injured.
The two countries also signed 29 agreements to promote legal, regulatory and economic cooperation.
On the last leg of his tour concluding on Friday, President Xi met his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orbán whose country is the first ever EU signatory of the Belt and Road Initiative.
How should we interpret this visit? We’ll learn more from our expert panel of guests.
