CE John Lee's Zhejiang visit / Cathay Pacific's March performance / Housing trend report / Cinema Day

In the first part of Friday's Backchat, we talked about Chief Executive John Lee's visit to Zhejiang, where he met with representatives of six start-ups, otherwise known as the Six Little Dragons.

The CE called for more cooperation between IT enterprises in Zhejiang and Hong Kong, and more joint projects to be launched.
Following the news, we looked at the state of the city's aviation sector, as Hong Kong's flagship carrier — Cathay Pacific — announced a 19.8 percent year-on-year increase in passenger numbers for March, reaching 2.25 million.
Meanwhile, its cargo arm saw a growth of 10.6 percent year-on-year, totalling nearly 150,000 tonnes.
In the latter part of the programme, we heard about the findings of a new housing trend report, and found out more about "Cinema Day" that's coming up next month.

Olympic Games wrap-up / Astronauts stuck in and water discovery on Mars

    主持人:Jim Gould and CM Chan

On Wednesday's Backchat, we're talking about sports development in Hong Kong, following the 2024 Paris Olympic Games which wrapped up on Sunday.

Returning in stages, our athletes were given a triumphant welcome, with the main focus on fencing stars Vivian Kong and Edgar Cheung, who both won gold. Swimmer Siobhan Haughey was also praised for her performance in bringing home two bronze medals -- in the women's 200 metres and 100 metres freestyle.
The Chief Executive, John Lee, congratulated the SAR's athletes for delivering historic results, while pledging to continue allocating resources to develop elite sports and identify young people with potential.
Have parents' attitudes towards sports changed? Are sportspeople given adequate career opportunities after reaching the height of their abilities? And which direction should our policymakers take?
After 9:45, we learn more from the latest developments in space, with uncertainly over the return of two NASA astronauts currently stranded on board the International Space Station.
