This week, we look at how jewelry has shaped culture and personal expression over time. We visit a special exhibition at the Hong Kong Palace Museum titled Treasures of Global Jewellery from the Metropolitan Museum of Art: The Body Transformed. We also check out Geometric Gesture, a solo exhibition by Lai Sio Kit, which transforms vintage Macao tiles and architectural memories into a labyrinth of three-dimensional, hand-painted geometric cubes. Plus, we feature Form, a multi-sensory group exhibition in Wong Chuk Hang.

This week, we preview the Hong Kong debut of “Black Box Music,” an avant-garde piece where the conductor is the performer. We hear from William Lane, founder of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, and composer Daniel Lo. We also explore our favorite local comedic characters with Sunny Chan from the Heritage Museum and visit Hanart TZ Gallery in Kwai Chung.
