In this episode, originally aired in 2023, avid collector Roy Delbyck joins Annemarie Evans to share highlights from his extensive collections. They discuss how his passion for collecting has evolved, his attempt to maintain a “fairly specific” focus even as he often breaks those boundaries. He also reflects on the journeys of individual items, revealing the human side of historical events.

Journalist Ian Gill was conceived in Hong Kong’s Stanley Internment Camp during the Japanese occupation and born in New Zealand following liberation. In 2022, he spoke with Annemarie Evans about his mother Billie’s heartbreaking experience in the Camp, and his search and reunification with his father decades later. In the second part of the episode, David Bellis of Gwulo.com and Evans take a look at the former air raid tunnels in Hong Kong.
