Chris Weston, Head of Research at Pepperstone, tells Steven Filby US President Donald Trump was effectively forced into extending the ceasefire in Iran, and we have seen some derisking coming through, but all eyes will remain on peace talks. Vishnu Varathan, Head of Macro Asia-ex-Japan, Fixed Income, Mizuho Securities, says uncertainty over a deal remains, and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz will cause ongoing issues with supply chains, even if we do see a resolution soon.

Radhika Rao, Senior Economist and Executive Director, DBS Bank Singapore, says while India has energy reserves, and has been able to get some oil from Russia and Iran, the focus is moving towards diversification. She goes on to say macro-variables will come under pressure the longer the situation goes on.
