Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.
Paul and Carolyn bring you another luxury Sunday Escape, filled with the best in independent music, chat, and plenty more besides. This week the show includes new tracks from The Snuts, Jungle, SkyDaddy, Lucky Lo, and Alex Lahey, as well as music from new albums by Sparks, Kevin Morby, and Arlo Parks vying for the album of the week title. There’s a preview of The Red Stripes 10th Anniversary Party taking place on June 3rd at Grappa’s Cellar, which also features Taipei’s Skaraoke. The regular features include music from Seattle’s Tullycraft, as well as a soulful White Stripes cover. There’s also another Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz and naturally some iffy biscuits! Tune in on Sunday from 9am to 1pm.

The Sunday Escape returns with Paul and Carolyn playing their picks for the best in new and independent music, as well as what’s been soundtracking the week. That includes brand new singles from VLURE, Sparks, Bully, and Eloise, plus new albums from Caroline Rose, The Reds, Pinks & Purples, Depeche Mode and Lana Del Rey. There’s also the last instalment of Do You Remember The First Time?, featuring the early incarnation of the band who gave the feature it’s name, plus a track from a short-lived rock band from the early 1990s. That’s joined by a brand new (and challenging) Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz, the usual random chat plus more, really not very good, biscuits!
Tune in every Sunday from 9am to 1pm.
