主持人:Paul Haswell and Carolyn Wright
Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.
Paul and Carolyn return on Sunday for another Sunday Escape and the usual foray into all of the finest in the week’s new music. That promises to include new tracks from St. Vincent, Japanese Breakfast and Tune-Yards plus albums from Arab Strap and Jane Weaver with of course an album of the week. There’s also a tribute to Bunny Wailer, the last original member of the Wailers who sadly passed away this week, plus a look ahead to the promise of live events in Hong Kong.
Monday is International Women’s Day, and to mark the date there’ll be plenty of music from great female artists both old and new. There’s also another round of the Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz and of course there will be biscuits! Tune in on Sunday from 9am to 1pm.
