Paul Haswell (AKA the Pop Fugitive) is plotting to make his Escape every Sunday morning between 9.30 and 1.
Join him every Sunday on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in music, with plenty of new records including tracks from his album of the week, as well as interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio plus all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.
Paul has loads of brand new records to play on this week’s Sunday Escape, with new music from Mura Masa, Kiesza, David Keenan and Tame Impala plus an unexpected collaboration between Ozzy Osbourne and Elton John. There’ll also be a brand new album of the week from Field Music and whatever other random stuff Paul’s been spinning over the past week.
However it’s not just records which will be playing this Sunday, as there’s another type of playing going on. Joining Paul in the studio is Jacqueline Vong, President and co-founder of Playology. She’s a toy and kids specialist who’ll be talking about what toys are cool, whether the obsession with unboxing and surprise toys continues unabated, and what to expect from toys in 2020. Given that Paul still buys Transformers toys then he’ll no doubt be asking about those, which hopefully won’t result in him playing music from The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack.
On top of all that there’s the usual nonsense, such as biscuit review, plans to take Prince Harry’s place in the British Royal Family, and the in- depth reportage Paul has become known for. It all takes place from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday!
