Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.

On this week’s Sunday Escape, Paul and Carolyn take in the best of the week’s new releases including tracks from Dead Nature, Folly Group, Big Special, Spector, The Mountain Goats, and Super Furry Animals alumni Das Koolies; plus music from albums from Wilco, Animal Collective, Lucia and the Best Boys, Slow Pulp, Blonde Redhead, and Cherry Glazerr. It’s been a packed week for new music needless to say!
Joining the Pop Fugitives in the studio are some of the organisers of this year’s India By The Bay, a week-long celebration of Indian art and culture, taking place from 7th - 15th October, here in Hong Kong. There’s also music from Soccer Mommy and The Sound as part of the week’s regular features, and of course biscuits!

This week’s Sunday Escape sees Paul and Carolyn return with new music from the likes of JOHN (TIMES TWO), Wombo, Crawlers, Sprints, and PJ Harvey, along with tracks from brand new albums from Jenny Lewis, Squid, Dream Wife, Christine and the Queens, and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. That’s accompanied by whatever else the Pop Fugitives have in their record bags, which includes as part of the regular features music from Action Biker in Sweeping The Nation, as well as a chamber-pop rendition of a classics Associates single as the Sunday Cover Supplement. There’s also another Super Clever Music Quiz, the usual chat, and some truly amazing biscuits!
