The Iran War has triggered major global disruptions. Oil markets have swung sharply in recent weeks, and global equities have sold off since the conflict began as investors adopt a more cautious, risk‑off stance. Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed to keep the Strait of Hormuz shut as the conflict continues to intensify in the Middle East. Insurance premiums for tankers passing through the region have skyrocketed as a result. To discuss how the insurance sector is responding to the crisis in the Middle East, Jeff Cheung spoke to Michael Walls, Marine and Cargo Leader for Asia at Marsh.
