The UN wants us off the old classroom map that makes Greenland look the size of Africa, and Morris is asking what other outdated pictures we still carry in our heads. Jarrod Watt can’t be with us today, as he’s busy at 37,000 feet. Back next week. Then at 1:25 it’s World Wasp Week, running from today until next Monday, organised by Dr Alexey Reshchikov of the Hong Kong Wasps Project. He’s a Russian wasp taxonomist at HKU. Did you know that Hong Kong has about 350 kinds of stinging wasp, but only a couple of dozen are the social picnic-ruiners? Most are solitary, and a huge number, including Alexey’s Darwin wasps, don’t sting people at all. They use a needle-fine egg tube on other insects, not on you. Join him on Facebook live if you can.

At 12:10 Tracy Quan joins us live from New York, where the City Council has just approved year-round outdoor dining, the nation’s first Office of Insurance Affordability, and a package of neighbourhood quality-of-life measures. Yay! At 12:40 we'll say "hi" to RTL France's Philippe Dova, live from Paris, firing up the time machine to revisit the songs that topped the French charts 50 years ago, while also paying tribute to two French music stars who passed away in August. Then at 1:25 it’s Classical Music Day with Paul Archibald, joining us live from Bangkok for a musical love story between Igor Stravinsky and Coco Chanel – the brief, much-debated 1920 entanglement when the composer and his family stayed at her villa near Paris, and she helped bankroll a revival of his masterpiece The Rite of Spring.
